Planning for birth is important, but so is planning for the postpartum period. The right support can be crucial to adjusting to this new life. You don't have to navigate this alone.

Most expectant parents plan for labor and delivery, creating birth plans and envisioning how they want those hours or days to unfold. But what about the weeks and months after birth? The postpartum period, often called the “fourth trimester,” can be just as intense and impactful as labor itself.

Postpartum support is crucial because recovery and adjustment don’t end after the baby is born. Birth is just the beginning of an entirely new chapter. Whether it's learning to care for your baby, navigating breastfeeding or bottle-feeding challenges, managing exhaustion, or simply adjusting to your new identity as a parent, having support during this time can make all the difference.

As a postpartum doula, I focus on helping families feel nurtured, informed, and confident. Whether through overnight support, emotional encouragement, or practical help around the home, my goal is to ease the transition and create space for you to bond with your baby while also taking care of yourself.

If you're planning for birth, consider also planning for postpartum support—your future self will thank you. 💛
